Abstract

The efficiency of military logistics distribution is a crucial factor in supporting integrated operational and administrative readiness. This study aims to develop a MATLAB-based mathematical model for military transport scheduling to maximise the efficiency of vehicle allocation, routes, and load capacity. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with simulated logistics distribution data over seven periods, involving five bases, four destination locations, and eight vehicles (5-ton trucks, 10-ton trucks, APCs, helicopters). The analysis was conducted by calculating the distance travelled, operational costs, load, and distribution efficiency level. The results show that the total distance per period ranges from 2,160 to 2,480 km, operational costs from Rp 388.8 to 478.4 million, and distribution efficiency from 40.7 to 61.5%. Trucks are dominant in fulfilling loads, while helicopters increase flexibility at a higher cost. These findings prove that mathematical models can provide guidance for efficient, adaptive military transport planning and support integrated logistics decision-making.
